Wildlife management has been the primary focus on this property with all the characteristics to be a top-notch hunting tract for the next owner. It has been under a Deer management plan for 2 years with selective harvesting of mature or cull bucks only and weekly protein supplements during winter and spring, via 2 trough feeders with 700 lbs of capacity. Five food plots have been established throughout the property, and some stands and feeders will be included in sale. In addition, Hybrid Oaks, Sawtooth Oaks, Chinese Chestnuts, White Oaks, Live Oaks, and American Persimmons have been planted in and around the food plots. There is a 7-acre dove field with electric fence and 20 acres of plantation cut pines for quail hunting.
The two bass ponds are 5 and 6 acres, with new/refurbished pond dams and pipes. One of the ponds is fed by Spring Mill Branch which leads to Magnolia Springs state park. There is T post and barb wire fence around the entire property (not high fence).
On top of being an exceptional hunting and recreational tract, Persimmon Creek also provides a great timber investment opportunity. There are approximately 140 acres of merchantable pine and hardwood timber and 21 acres of 1.5-year-old Slash pine plantation.
